D O N ' T    A S K     D O N ' T    T E L L 

 . . . buuuut this wasn't enough. She needed bigger and better . . .

Yeah, now VMA's (video music awards) was a much better idea :)

She showed up on September 12th, 2010, wearing a dress made completely out of meat to accept her Best Music Video Award, for Bad Romance :)

This dress was designed and created by Franc Fernandez.

Gaga said

“   As you know I am the most judgement-free human being on the earth. If we don’t stand up for what we believe in and don’t stand up for our rights pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones.     ”

Though PETA (People Agaist the Etical Treatment of Animals) commented

“No matter how beautifully it is presented, flesh from a tortured animal is flesh from a tortured animal,” PETA president Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement. “Meat represents bloody violence and suffering, so if that’s the look they were going for, they achieved it.”

And a few nights ago, Eva Longoria wore this 'Jamon Iberico' or Spanish Ham Dress at this year's EMA's (European music awards) is a 'rip off' style. Funny but umm, she was trying to make a point? Lady Gaga said she was offended by this - rightly so :)

The whole point that Lady Gaga was trying to across was the injustice of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy in the US Army

'If we don't ask about your sexual nature or preference, you don't tell or show it'

what nonsense???!! Where is the freedom?

Well, Thanks to her and her plead for the change - She has changed the policy . . .

" When Lady Gaga called out to her little monsters and amped up her political campaign against "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" at a rally in Portland, ME, on Monday, people looked drunk on daydreams about Gaga for President. But that was before she confused people by comparing her famed meat dress to a political symbol for gay rights.

"Equality is the prime rib of America, but because I am gay, I don't get to enjoy the greatest cut of meat my country has to offer,"

Gaga proclaimed to the rally crowd.

"Shouldn't everyone deserve to wear the same meat dress I do?"

"      Maybe her meat dress metaphor had more fat than muscle, but Gaga got serious without her crazy outfits and strobe lights, and rallied a passionate crowd against the controversial ban on gays serving openly in the military, the New York Times reports It was the latest move in Gaga's campaign for gay rights since last week when she made the repeal of 17-year-old "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" her personal mission, and even called out Senator John McCain in a YouTube video.

Instead of keeping with the status quo, Gaga proposed a new law for gays in the military.

"If you don't like it, go home!"

Gaga yelled.

Like it or not, Gaga is up against some tough odds in Washington where the repeal of the policy faces a filibuster, but that didn't stop her from calling out undecided Senators Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both from Maine, and Scott Brown from nearby Massachusetts.       "

But this wasn't the first time Lady Gaga has shocked the world  . . . remember last year at the VMA's? When she started bleeding from her chest and then Hanged herself during a performance of Paparazzi?

She is amazing.

As shocking as Lady Gaga's dress may have been, it's not the only Meat Dress in history . . .

As a vegetarian, I'm against the killing of animals for A N Y  reason, but in this case, I'm not sure . . .

surely something so important needed a massive response, and by shocking people into oblivain, she caught the attention of the world.

Many think that 'Gay rights' are a joke but it's a serious matter . . .

As a straight woman, with many bisexual and homosexual friends around me, I believe in

regardless of sexual orentation, gender or colour.
